"The Classics of Surgery Library"

A collection of seventeen limited edition books from The Classics of Surgery Library, published by Gryphon Editions in 1989 and 1990. This collection includes John Bell’s The Principles of Surgery, James Syme’s The Principles of Surgery, N. Senn’s Principles of Surgery and Alfred Blalock’s Principles of Surgical Care. These special edition books are leatherbound hardcovers with raised bands, gilt page edges and gilt cover decoration; all four have a label on the inside front cover reading “This is copy number 345 of a Limited Edition of 7,500 copies in the library of ****, M.D.”
