RARE Vintage A. Gilles Copper SOLID Copper & Wood Embossed Holder with 1 Coaster

Vintage hard to find A. Gilles Copper SOLID copper and wood embossed holder with 1 coaster.

EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION with some patina. I'm willing to polish the coaster & holder if requested for no charge. Should be 6 coasters but I only have the 1.

▪︎The holder is made from solid copper and wood and features a repoussé or raised relief bald eagle on the front.

▪︎The coaster has a textured felt bottom to prevent scratching.

•The caddy is 3.75” tall x 3.4” wide x 1.5” deep
•The coaster is 3.25” across

▪︎Albert Gilles was born in France in 1895. His aunt introduced him to the art of Repoussé which became a lifelong passion.
▪︎In 1927 he emigrated to Quebec City Canada and started his art studio. ▪︎He crossed the border and worked in Detroit, Hollywood, and Los Angeles, as a decorator, metal sculptor, and silversmith.
▪︎In 1942, he was internationally recognized when commissioned by Pope Pius XII, to execute the silver chalice offered to the archdiocese of Montreal.
